Want Better Skin but Afraid of Needles? What Are Your Non-Injectable Options?

Today, improving skin quality no longer means relying on injectable treatments alone. Options range from Skin Boosters, Polynucleotides (PN), and Collagen Biostimulators to lasers and other energy-based devices designed to stimulate changes within the skin.

However, injectable treatments are not for everyone.

Some people are afraid of needles or concerned about pain and bruising. Others simply do not feel comfortable having a product injected into their skin, even if they still want to improve skin texture, fine lines, visible pores, or overall skin quality.

For these patients, laser-based skin rejuvenation may be another option worth considering.

One technology developed for this purpose is the 675 nm laser used in Program RedTouch Pro.

Improving Skin Quality Does Not Always Require Injections

Injectables and lasers work differently and should not be considered direct substitutes for one another.

Depending on the product, injectable treatments may be used to improve hydration, support skin quality, stimulate collagen, or restore volume. Laser treatments, on the other hand, use energy to stimulate a biological response within the skin without injecting a product.

For someone who is not ready for a Skin Booster, PN, or Collagen Biostimulator, a laser may therefore be an alternative when the skin concern is appropriate for that technology.

The important question is not simply whether to inject or not inject, but which approach best matches the actual skin concern.

How Does Program RedTouch Pro Work Without Injecting a Product?

Program RedTouch Pro uses a 675 nm laser designed to create controlled microthermal zones within the skin.

Published histological research on 675 nm laser treatment has demonstrated changes including newly formed collagen fibers following treatment. This supports its use in treatments focused on collagen remodeling and skin quality, rather than adding volume by placing a material beneath the skin.

As a result, Program RedTouch Pro may be considered for concerns such as fine lines, uneven skin texture, visible pores, and changes in skin firmness and overall quality.

More information about the technology is available on our Program RedTouch Pro at Reva Clinic page.

What If You Are Also Afraid of Pain?

Pain is another common reason people hesitate to undergo aesthetic treatments.

Program RedTouch Pro incorporates a cooling system to help improve comfort while laser energy is delivered to the skin.

In one published study involving 35 patients treated with a fractional 675 nm laser, the mean pain score was 1.17 on a 10-point VAS scale, with mild erythematous reactions reported in two patients.

This does not mean that every patient will experience the same level of discomfort. Sensation can vary depending on the individual, treatment area, and treatment parameters.

For patients whose main concern is needles, however, there is one clear distinction: Program RedTouch Pro does not require a needle to inject a product into the skin.

How Are the Results Different From a Skin Booster?

Because Program RedTouch Pro relies on collagen remodeling, the changes are generally progressive.

Collagen-related changes do not occur completely overnight. The skin continues to respond over time as the remodeling process develops.

This differs from some injectable treatments that may produce more immediate effects related to hydration or volume.

For this reason, Program RedTouch Pro should not be described simply as a “needle-free Skin Booster.” The mechanisms are different, and each treatment has its own role.

For some patients, laser treatment alone may be appropriate. For others, an injectable or a combination of different treatments may better address the underlying concern.

Which Skin Concerns May Be Suitable for Program RedTouch Pro?

Program RedTouch Pro may be considered when the treatment goal is primarily related to skin quality, fine lines, uneven texture, visible pores, or collagen-related changes in the skin.

There is also clinical research evaluating 675 nm laser treatment for atrophic acne scars. However, this does not mean that every acne scar should be treated with laser alone.

For example, tethered rolling scars may require Subcision, while deep ice-pick scars may respond better to other focal treatments.

The same principle applies to visible pores. Their appearance may be influenced by several factors, including collagen changes, excess sebum, facial hair, and acne scarring. Identifying the underlying cause remains important before selecting a treatment.

How We Perform Program RedTouch Pro at Reva Clinic

At Reva Clinic, our Program RedTouch Pro treatment is built around three techniques: MOVE, STAMP, and SPOT.

All three are normally incorporated into the session, but the emphasis is adjusted according to the patient's skin.

MOVE is used across broader areas to work on overall skin quality. STAMP allows greater attention to areas where texture, pores, or acne scars are more noticeable. SPOT can be used for selected localized concerns when appropriate.

This means that two patients using the same device may not receive exactly the same treatment design.

Someone with generally good skin but more visible pores around the inner cheeks may require a different balance from someone with widespread textural changes, fine lines, and acne scars.

A Program RedTouch Pro session at Reva generally takes around 30–60 minutes, depending on the skin condition and the level of detail required. A longer treatment does not automatically mean a better result; the time reflects the different steps and individualized treatment design involved.

Can Program RedTouch Pro Replace Injectable Treatments?

Not in every case.

If the main concern is significant volume loss, deeper folds, or facial contours that require structural volume restoration, a laser cannot provide the same effect as a filler.

Similarly, Skin Boosters, PN, and Collagen Biostimulators each have their own mechanisms and clinical roles. Avoiding injections should therefore not be the only reason to choose a laser if the underlying problem is better addressed by another treatment.

However, when the main goal is to improve skin quality and collagen, and the patient prefers not to undergo an injectable treatment, a 675 nm laser can be one option to consider.

Some patients may choose device-based treatments alone, while others may eventually combine lasers and injectables when appropriate. The treatment plan depends on the skin concern and the desired result.

Better Skin Without Injections Is Possible — but the Treatment Still Needs to Match the Problem

Improving skin quality today is not limited to Skin Boosters or injectable treatments.

For people who are afraid of needles, concerned about discomfort, or simply prefer not to have a product injected into their face, laser-based treatment provides another approach when the main concerns involve skin quality, fine lines, texture, visible pores, or collagen.

Program RedTouch Pro uses a 675 nm laser to support collagen remodeling without injecting a product into the skin. However, it should not be considered a replacement for every injectable treatment.

The most appropriate treatment still begins with understanding what is happening in the skin and what result you want to achieve before deciding between a laser, an injectable, or a combination of both.
